Department Of Botany and Microbiology

            The Department of Botany and Microbiology is well accredited with teaching staff, with latest know how endears in moulding and guiding the student community.  It can boast of churning out some outstanding personalities to the scientific community.

            If results are to be a barometer for gauging efficiency, Botany and Microbiology department does not lag behind, as the results are simply outstanding.     

Another feather in the cap for the department is its museum, probably one of its kinds in the entire state.  It houses a wide variety of plant specimens from all over the country.

            The department maintains bulletin display boards to keep students informed of the latest happenings in the subject.  To encourage and bring out talents in students, the department conducts various scientific activities and competitions, which hones up academic skills in students.

            The department also opens the door to stepping into PG course in Microbiology in the same campus.  Even though the PG microbiology department is in its infancy entering its 3^rd year of its inception, it is on the strong pedestal carved out by the cream of faculty and infrastructure.  With minor research undertaken, papers have been published in leading Journals of Microbiology.  Poster presentations at national level conferences are also made. The results that the department has been able to achieve are remarkable indeed and it is proud to have made them achieve their goals beyond their reach and expectations.  The students passing out from the PG department have been well placed in various reputed companies and organizations, which are globally renowned.
